Merety

Terms of Service

Last updated: June 25, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Merety (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Merety provides AI-generated conversations with historical figures for educational and entertainment purposes. Characters are fictionalized portrayals; responses are produced by language models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or invented. Do not rely on the Service for medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction).

3. Subscriptions and Payment

The Service is offered on a paid basis (Explorer and Luminary plans). Prices are displayed at checkout and processed by Stripe. By purchasing, you authorize us to charge the applicable fee. Plans are one-time purchases unless otherwise stated; renewals, upgrades, and downgrades follow the terms shown at purchase time.

4. Refunds

We offer a 14-day satisfaction guarantee from the date of purchase. To request a refund within that window, contact us through the Contact page. After 14 days, all purchases are final.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) use the Service to generate illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit minors-related, or deceptive content; (b) attempt to circumvent rate limits or security controls; (c) reverse engineer the Service; (d) resell or redistribute Service output as a competing product; (e) impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.

6. Content and Intellectual Property

The Service, its design, code, and original content are owned by Merety and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the prompts you submit; you grant us a limited, worldwide license to process them solely to provide and improve the Service. AI-generated output is provided to you for your personal, non-exclusive use.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third parties (AI providers, Stripe, hosting). Their terms apply to their portion of the Service.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Merety will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability arising out of or related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for breach of these Terms or to protect the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at our principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
